The Knysna Turaco is an endemic bird of South Africa. It’s mostly found in the evergreen forests of the Eastern and Western Cape. This wonderful bird is quite common but not necessarily easy to spot. It likes to hide in the treetops. I was walking in the woods surrounding Nature’s Valley when I saw a couple of turacos crossing the path some meters ahead. I approached slowly and carefully, and at some point I saw one between the leaves. I managed to “steal” this shot before the nervous turaco finally flew away.
