As the first big rainfall of the season fell over the reserve, from the shelter of a photographic hide, a single male Cheetah appeared in our view at a distance. He stopped and looked our way as if trying to determine if something was lurking behind the shallow water of the hide. The rain drops fill the image as the fur of the Cheetah gets drenched. After watching for a moment, he decided to carry on his way, likely in search of a dry spot to settle in for the night. The foliage was vibrant from the rain making an effective backdrop for the statuesque cat.
