Back in 2019 I used to stay on a beautiful little farm with a resident male spotted eagle owl. He had been living and hunting there for a couple of years and had grown accustomed to people, enough so that he would come and show off his catches for no apparent reason (I recorded rain spiders, solifuges, frogs, small snakes, and as recorded here, fat mice) and fly off with them again, sometimes all in a few seconds.
For me it was a once-in-a-lifetime unusual natural interaction with a small predator.
