While I was photographing a herd of Lechwes, I suddenly became aware of a loud snorting noise very close to me. I looked up and saw three white rhinos standing mere metres away. Fortunately, rhinos don’t see very well and the wind was blowing in my favour! They didn’t notice me and I could slowly back away. There was a small wall nearby, behind which I could hide and continue watching the rhinos. They were comfortably grazing when suddenly the sun came out from behind the clouds and illuminated the male white rhino from the side.
