An immature Southern Pale Chanting Goshawk (Melierax canorus) getting resistance from a Giant Ground Gecko (Chondrodactylus angulifer). The gecko put up a brave fight, and even tried to attack the goshawk by jumping up at it. Unfortunately, there was only one possible outcome, and this photographer had to blink back tears. Such bravery should have resulted in a different outcome.
