A lion’s agility and coordination seems to disappear when they climb a tree, certainly when compared to their spotted relatives who look so at home in a tree. This sub adult lion cub was slightly more agile than his bulkier mom, managing to climb to places she couldn’t follow. I’m not sure if she disapproved of him being dangerously high or the fact that he was outclimbing her, I suspect it was the latter. Whichever it was, he was given a swift nip to the bum to pull him down, a method he clearly didn’t appreciate.
