A bitter sweet feeling as we left on our last morning drive from Djuma Galago camp knowing the lodge will no longer host any guests and reminiscing about all the special moments we had at this incredible camp. We had a few calls on the radio on leopard sightings but at that specific moment we were tracking our own and I told our guide and tracker that these tracks are too fresh to leave. It wasn’t long before we located a young female walking in the road. She was intently listening to all sounds around her. Every now and then she would run up a tree chase a few squirrels and then move off. I caught her as she heard a few francolins in a nearby bush when I managed to capture this shot. It was after some heavy rains so the grass was extremely tall and I converted it into a B&W image which I love so much.
