Sometimes we rely on good luck and timing, this is what happened with this image. I was moving to a waterhole late afternoon and while crossing a bridge over a dry riverbed I noticed this herd of elephants moving down the bank and kicking up loads of dust. Lucky enough we are allowed to exit the vehicle on this bridge. I stopped immediately and got out of my vehicle and began to shoot a series of images as the elephants made their way to look for water. The light was perfect to show up the dust, I underexposed by -1.7ev to capture the silhouette and golden dust. I chose this image for the pose of the leading Elephant.
