The southern giant petrel (Macronectes giganteus) on a carcass of a Humpback whale which possibly has been eaten and killed by an Orca along the West Coast of South Africa.
Nothing goes to waste in the Oceans annimals, including sharks and Seaguls and Petrel are feeding on this flesh.
Meaning everything goes into there system too. This is why for example micro plastic is a serious issue and will inevitably influence our human feeding behaviours soon as well.
The West and East Coast of South Africa will soon faces seismic offshore testing which may affect direct or indirect the behaviour or be live threatening to some species. Pictures alike should be possible for future generations, but only if we take care of our Oceans!
